(WSCR) It’s only a matter of time now until John Danks returns from his stint on the disabled list.
At which time, Robin Ventura and the White Sox will need to select a pitcher to return to Triple-A Charlotte. Jose Quintana, who was called when Danks got injured, would appear to be the likely choice to return to the minors, though his impressive stats will make for a tough decision.
In seven games (five starts) this season, Quintana is 2-1 with a 1.53 ERA.
“I think the easy thing and probably the correct and probably the thing that makes the most sense is that Quintana doesn’t leave the ball club,” White Sox television color man Steve Stone said. “He’s not the change that you make.
