PHILADELPHIA (AP) _ Maybe a month in the minors was all Lucas
Duda hit a two-run homer, Matt Harvey had another sharp outing
and the New York Mets beat the Philadelphia Phillies 3-2 Wednesday
night for their fourth straight win.
Duda, recalled from Triple-A Buffalo on Sunday, also made an
excellent catch in left field to preserve the lead and even stole a
“Just getting used to it again,” he said.
The Mets have won five straight in Philadelphia and seven of
eight overall this season.
Harvey (3-3) allowed two runs and six hits, striking out six in
6 1-3 innings. He also had an RBI single. The rookie has a 2.76 ERA
in seven starts.
“He has extraordinary stuff,” Mets manager Terry Collins said.
“He pitched pretty well.”
